Other versions of Vaginal Tightening use lasers to achieve a tighter vagina. However, our treatment uses ultrasound technology that is incredibly precise and much less invasive.
We use a specific type of ultrasound called HIFU, which stands for High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound. This type of technology also tightens skin on other areas of the body such as the face. During our Vaginal Tightening treatment, our practitioners insert a probe into the vagina, which emits HIFU into the vaginal wall. The probe rotates to target all sides of the vaginal cavity.
High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound is effective because it travels through and tightens multiple layers of the skin. Primarily, HIFU targets the epidermis, which is the surface of the vaginal wall. Underneath this is the dermis layer, where you can find the nerves and blood vessels. The deepest layer that HIFU targets is the superficial muscular aponeurotic system layer, known as the SMAS. HIFU is the only technology that can penetrate this layer of skin in a non-invasive treatment.
During our Vaginal Tightening procedure, the probe emits HIFU in the form of tiny, focused beams. These converge under the skin at the depths of 3.0mm and 4.5mm.
